Current Initiatives
MaptimeSEA
Engaging with Seattle's mapping community heightened my awareness of MaptimeSEA, a tutorial-focused group fostering GIS skills.
Recognizing the demand for such meetups, I took the initiative to organize and lead these sessions. I collaborated with previous organizers, recruited new ones, and developed social media flyers to disseminate event details.

Past Initiatives
Troll's Knoll Urban Greening Project
When I moved back to Seattle, I wanted to get involved with my community. Luckily, a grassroots urban greening project had already begun in my neighborhood. To me, this was a great opportunity to continue learning about the environment and connect with my fellow neighbors who were invested in making Fremont a healthy place.
There are many ways that I engage with Troll's Knoll. As a board member of Friends of Troll's Knoll, I vote on initiatives and brainstorm ways to engage with the public during our meetings. As part of the communications team, I create and post flyers around the neighborhood and co-manage our Instagram to promote our efforts. As a report writer, I create supporting documentation for grants relating to new projects. As a part of my community, I participate in work events, where I get my hands dirty removing invasive species and installing plant donations. This project has given me the space to learn about community engagement and green space stewardship while deepening my connection to my environment.
